The Santa Fe Trails Days were held Friday, September 9th and Saturday, September 10th on the Marshall Downtown Square and at Indian Foothills Park. The festivities included the Chuckwagon Dinner sponsored by Cargill Meat Solutions, Saline County Fair Association Chainsaw Auction, Real Encounters Outreach, Marshall Parks and Recreation 'Kids Day in the Park', vendors and crafters, The Optimist Clubs' 'Mutts Are Us', Missouri River Bird Observatory, Parents As Teachers, Be Dazzled, the Lion's Club 5K run and the 1st Annual Pie Eating Contest! There was something for everyone during the festivities and is was great opportunity for people to get out and be active in their community. There was so much excitement, we can't wait to do it all again next year Thanks to all who help organize these wonderful events for our community. Marshall truly shined! |
