| Jim the Wonder Dog Memorial Park When visiting Marshall and Saline County, you will find that we have a variety of things to do and see. One of our most popular tourist attractions is the Jim the Wonder Dog Park located just off the Square. This beautiful park is dedicated to a Llewellyn Setter named Jim who has been featured on Ripley's Believe It of Not and Animal Planet Television for his uncanny ability to predict the future, understand several different languages, and do just about anything his owner would command. You can visit the park anytime during daylight hours. We encourage you to visit Jim and take a stroll down the walkway through the garden to read about him at the different stations. Along the way you will see the wonderful water garden built and maintained by the Saline County Water Garden Club. Stop long enough to enjoy the waterfall and the fish swimming in the pond. The garden is full of beautiful flowers and shrubs. There is a botanical guide to the garden available in the gazebo. Before you leave the garden be sure to sign the guest book so that the nice folks who take care of the garden can count the number of visitors and where they are from! |
