            For over 50 years, Marshall and the surrounding communities have benefited from excellent health care provided by Missouri Valley Physicians (MVP). Formally known as Odell Avenue Medical Clinic, which was located just off the Marshall square, MVP moved to their current location next to Fitzgibbon Hospital in 1993.

            Office manager, Brenda Bair, says the clinic provides lab, x-ray, bone density testing, stress testing, retinopathy testing, and neurometric testing among other services. Full time medical staff members include seven doctors and two Family Nurse Practitioners, which provide services ranging from family medicine, pediatrics, GYN to internal medicine. In addition, MVP has several specialists that are in their facility on a weekly/monthly basis for the convenience of their patients. Specialists include Urologist, Nephrology, Cardiologist, and audiologist.

            Dr. Thomas Papreck, senior doctor in the clinic, joined MVP in 1977, he also sees patients in Slater, specializing in Family Medicine. Dr. Jack Uhrig, a native of Carrollton, Missouri, began seeing patients at the clinic in 1985, specializing in Internal Medicine. Dr. Mica Newman-Koehn came to Marshall in 1988, specializing in Family Medicine and GYN services. Dr. Douglas Koehn joined the practice in 1991 specializing in Family practice with patients of all ages. Dr. Justin Cramer returned to his home town of Marshall in 2003 and become a part of the team specializing in Family Medicine. Dr. Jamie Ulbrich, another native of Missouri, joined MVP in 1999 seeing patients from newborn to adult and offers GYN services as well. Dr. Timothy Ryan specializes in Internal Medicine and came to MVP in the early 1990’s. Family Nurse Practitioners Mary Roth and Susan Vogelsmeier see patients of all ages and have proven to be a great asset to the practice.

            In late 2007 MVP and Fitzgibbon Hospital joined forces and discussed the need of bringing Hospitalist to our town. With the doctors working around the clock to be at both the Hospital and Clinic it was extremely difficult to take care of all their patients needing office appointments. Seeing a huge potential in being able to spend more time in the clinic, Hospitalists were added in 2008. 

            Working together as a group, Missouri Valley Physicians have the ability to provide coverage for their patients 24/7. The clinic offers quality care close to home.
